JUDGING CRITERIA FOR EACH COMPETITION ACCORDING TO THE DISCIPLINE

Functional (30%):
●  Suitable with the theme (Kinetic Arts: Movement – eg: spinning, waving, twisting, etc.), concept and inspiration.
●  The design fulfils product intended function, reliability and problem solving.
●  Product Innovativeness - The usage of new or improved methods should benefit longlasting for the users.
●  Ecology Traits - Environmental friendly traits are incorporated into the product, whether it affects the user or environment (example: 
    selection of material for recycling, reduction of pollution to the environment, sound and scent).
●  Quality/ Commercial Value - The idea shows quality of manufacturing and design with full utilization of materials and technology.
●  Innovative and creative Product/artwork created must have a level of life expectancy of more than 3 years.

 

Aesthetic (70%):
●  Symbolic and Emotional Content - The product should be presented with attractive elements.
●  Ergonomics - There should be interaction between product, user and the environment; physically and psychologically (example: 
    kinetic movement, safety features).
●  Quality of Presentation - The whole idea/ design presentable which qualifies its designers to be awarded as the winner such as the 
    quality of product/ artwork, writing the project proposal, sketches and drawing presentation, etc.
●  Must have a creative talent.

 

Others
●  Mostly build and display in minimum size not less than (width 1’ (ft) x length 1’ (ft) size) and (height 4’ (ft) size). 
●  No Human and animals figure in the product (Halal-Compliant Creative Products).
●  Cooperation among the team members and possess the ability to 
    pitch their ideas to the panels.

 

Points for the Preliminary Rounds (Judging) in this Discipline:
●  100% - 50% Go to Final Competition

 

Final Competition
●  Finalist judging begins: Product/ Artwork at the venue (Politeknik Ibrahim Sultan)
